Joyce Warikandwa

Joyce Warikandwa was born in Mhondoro in 1976 and began playing mbira at age five. In 1988, she toured the UK as a member of the group Svinurai. A member of Victor Kunonga’s band Peace, she worked with Kunonga and the late Hugh Masekela on the unreleased recording project “Shai Shai.” Joyce lives in the Mhondoro rural areas.
